The film ‘The Dark Knight’ didn’t have a wide release in this country, so it was a bit of a surprise to see the movie hit theaters on so many screens across Canada, and it’s still showing strong after a week in theaters.
Animated Studio Spark has launched a new feature film project in 3D. The companies hopes it will launch it’s “Family Horror Nights” to media, and generate buzz.
Special Effects supervisor Roy Alonzo’s work is off the charts as he builds towering monsters and demons and constructs startling effects, from a 60 foot tall creature to a large spider that crawls along the ceiling.
The production also has hiring a writer, illustrator and creative director. It has access to an easy one stop location that will handle both animation and Visual Effects. The directors are working on a story that has children at the heart.
The film comes with a barbed wire setting and is inspired by a story the directors call “the haunted spook house.”
Now in its fourth season, Spark’s new show Family Horror Nights has launched a feature film. “The Dark Knight” is one of only six superhero movies to have been released in the past five years.
The film didn’t have a wide release in Canada, but it’s managing to find theatres on an impressive scale of 400 screens, says producer David Ball.
“All of a sudden they’re seeing their name on the box office and there’s probably some curiosity,” Ball said. “It’s not a bad thing, but I’m not expecting the same box office return they’d get from their other films.”
While the film doesn’t feel like a superhero movie, the Dreamworks studio has taken “Batman” and turned it into a family friendly film. Ball claims the focus is on the relationship between The Joker and Harvey Dent, and The Joker and Batman.
In an interview with British TV show ‘This Morning’ on Wednesday, Deborah Nolan told reporters: “Michael Giacchino will be doing the score. He won the Oscar for the Spider-Man film. He’s a very well-known, well-respected composer. It will be a very emotional score.”
“The Dark Knight Rises” launches several surprises for the sequel to 2008’s superhero hit “The Dark Knight.”
As the film approaches the busy summer movie season, a flurry of new details has begun to emerge.

Understanding Photoshop’s different work areas
Because Photoshop is a program for digital image editing, it offers the ability to work in different work areas. The following sections give you a brief overview of the different work areas.
Photoshop’s work areas reflect the way you normally work with it. When you do one of these work areas, you work only within that area. For example, you might work in Image Editing while you’re working on your image. When you exit that area and return to the Editor or the Tools panel, you move back into the area that contains all of the tools.
If you’re a big fan of the command line or if you often work in the Application menu to create a new file from the Open dialog box, you may find that the Image Editing work area is familiar.
As part of the Creative Cloud suite, Photoshop is fully integrated into the Creative Suite. You can access it from any other applications that are part of the suite, too. Many powerful features are available in the Creative Suite or are available for Creative Cloud customers, as discussed in Chapter 5.
The Image Editing work area
The Image Editing work area is at the heart of Photoshop. To make editing an image easier, Photoshop provides various tools for easy, quick, and effective editing.
You work in the Image Editing work area because the various panels that you see when you first load the program (see Chapter 1) are all part of the Image Editing area. The Image Editing panels include
The Layers panel: This is the most frequently used panel in the Image Editing area. (See Chapter 3 for the lowdown on layers.)
The History panel: The History panel stores the state of your images at different times. You can easily go back and edit a particular image at any time.
The Select panel: The Select panel allows you to select one or more objects in an image. (See Chapter 2 for information on how to select objects in your images.)
The Toolbox: Photoshop includes the best-ever Photoshop toolbox. This box is where you store all of the tools that you use to edit images.
The Modify panel: The Modify panel is where you find the Hand tool, the Rotate, Crop, and Perspective tools, and many other tools. (See Chapter 7 for details on each tool.)

In this Photoshop video tutorial, I’ll show you everything you need to know to create a delicious-looking choco-cherry pie.
What is Photoshop Elements?
Adobe Photoshop Elements has a very simple user interface for novice users. It’s made for hobbyists, and has a friendly interface.
You can use Elements to create cool professional-looking images. The main advantage of Elements is its fast performance, which makes it easy to edit and create a whole range of images. You can work on a large number of images at the same time without crashing the program.
The program is available for Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms. It is free, and has no ads. However, the Elements program is not exactly the easiest to use, which is why I made the tutorial in this video.
It is a native program designed for photo editing, but it also works well for graphic designers.
You can use the program to create your own designs, logos, cartoon characters, emoji, and memes. You can also use it for other graphics and web design tasks.

Tunisian man arrives in Israel after crossing through Egyptian border.
Tunisian Border Collision
A Tunisian man who entered Israel near Tze’elim, in the Galilee region, said he was held as a “criminal” for 14 hours by Israeli police.
The Tunisian was shot with a Taser and handcuffed, and in a span of “sixty minutes,” he was taken to a police station and then a detention center.
The man was then put on a bus which took him to a reception center at an army base.
He later reached the “Second Gate,” the crossing point between Israel and the Palestinian territories, and told reporters that he was detained by Israeli police for 14 hours, during which time he was shot with a Taser and handcuffed, The Times of Israel reported.
The man said he spent at least 14 hours detained in a cell, the report said.
“I was only able to scratch my back,” he said.
“We arrived at 10 in the morning and my phone, charger, and my money fell out of my pocket when I was handed over to the soldier. It was obvious I was the subject of an interrogation,” he said.
The man, who wanted to remain anonymous, said he arrived in the country via the Erez crossing and felt comfortable saying he was Tunisian until a soldier took his phone.
At that point, the soldier asked him if he was Lebanese and tried to get him to answer in Arabic.
“He asked me where my father is and where I came from. He said I was carrying weapons and the patrol marks on my hands were to be investigated,” he said.
According to the man, he answered in Hebrew because he wanted to speak to someone who understood him.
“The soldier realized I was not Tunisian and asked me if I had cellphones. When I answered ‘no’ he told me: ‘I’m going to the school and I will bring back your phones,’” he said.
“I told him, no, it’s not about my phone, but about security cameras,” he added.
Israeli police officer Yaron Hulan and a Kedem officer questioned the man about his trip to Israel.
They eventually found out

in that we haven’t had the thick-framed lenses.
The lens exchange is a brilliant bonus for the M lenses as there is now a nice range of useful close-focussed primes available, all the way up to the 35mm f/1.8 equivalent of the 28 f/1.4 prime.
I think the extended coverage and use of the 15mm optic on the M8 is a very good choice. The weight of the camera means that the 14mm is a fairly stable focal length, but the M8 may be a little too heavy to take up to the heights with a 15mm.
A bonus is the improved viewfinder, which is more than just there for show. It’s a big improvement on the extremely compact one on the M9, and it gives a much more direct view of what the lens is focussing at.
Vignetting is still an issue for the M lenses, with the 15mm lens producing greater levels of it than some others. You really need to be right in the middle of the frame to avoid this.
Cropping of corners is fairly good, although I prefer to crop off the upper left corner to remove reflections from the front element in certain shots. I also like to crop in from the sides to create a more vertical composition (the camera crops top/bottom, and leaves the sides in tact).
The quality of the images is decent, with the 18mm showing some softening at the edges. The 28mm is a little more detailed, and the 35mm has a warmer rendition, but all three perform well.
Depth of field
I love the depth of field. It seems to just get better and better each time I pick up the camera. Depth of field can be good or bad, and is what separates the amateur from the experienced photographer. For example, the long focussed 35mm can get a massive depth of field, which makes it great for landscapes, and allows for high DOF shots without blurring. The 28mm lens however can give us some great shots with DoF, but not as much as the 35mm.
Above is a photo of the Taj Mahal taken with the 35mm at f/5.6, which shows the massive amount of DoF.
Below is the same shot taken with the 28mm at f/5.6.
Depth of field can be a terrible
